Meet our Jury Chair

       

Tim Cameron PPA Certified M. Photog. Cr., CPP    Tim grew up in the photography business back in the late 70’s. It was not until his mothers passing in 1980 that he 

realized the value of an image.  “The one thing we all wished we had was a family portrait.”

This is when his love for the art became an obsession. Tim spent the next few years learning from the best, so he could create a legacy for others, the one thing he did not posses himself.

Mr. Cameron has received many Kodak Gallery Awards, Fuji Masterpiece Awards, Courts of Honor and the George H. Hastings Memorial Award.  Tim is a Past President and 20 year board member of New Hampshire Professional Photographers Association, where he has earned the Distinguished Colleague of Photography Degree and is a recipient ofPPA’s National Award. Tim is a member of PPA’s Certification Team, Councilor from NH and along time volunteer at PPA’s Imaging USA. Mr. Cameron educational programs include; Family Portraits on Location, Pets, Commercial Photography and Certification.

 

 

 

 

 

 

           

Meet our judges 

Don Raupp M.Photog., Cr., CPP

Don started his career in May, 1983 in Royal Oak, MI by answering an ad in the paper (Photographer – Wanted – No experience necessary.)  Don was a staff photographer for photographing high school seniors, where he had the chance to work with many great Master Photographers.  Don started in sales in 1984 selling sports programs to junior high schools and leagues.  Don went from there to selling school accounts: 50% sales; 50% photography.  In 1985, Don moved to Arizona as the new territory manager for Lifetouch as part of the Market Development Group. As this role was to grow the territory, he was asked to move to Huston to take over that area, however, due to family reason he needed to move his family back to Michigan. In Michigan, he took on a sales/photography manager role were he managed 5 senior studios and staff. In 1989, Don was asked to leave his sales position and run Lifetouch’s first Mall Senior Studio. In 1994, Don was asked to move to South Bend, IN to take over managing the northern half of the state. Don grew the business from the basement of his home to the first studio in northern IN for Lifetouch. In 1996, Don started to take on a larger role in photography training for Lifetouch.  In 1997, Don moved to Indianapolis to take on a photography management role due to commitment to Lifetouch corporate in training and development. In 1999, Don moved to Minneapolis and took on the role of Developer for the High School product line. In 2002, Don moved to Lifetouch Corporate division and assumed the role of Corporate Developer for all Lifetouch companies. In 2004, Don was promoted to Director of Corporate Development In 2005, Don went back to LNSS as Director of Secondary and Training for LNSS Present, Don work in the RI territory for Lifetouch were he oversees the photography training for one of Lifetouch largest territory’s which serves over 450 high schools. Don’s Accomplishment and Special Memories: Don has been the recipient of many Lifetouch photographic awards in: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1995, 1996, and 1997 Don was the first photographer in Lifetouch to be certified as a Certified Professional Photographer Don’s first publish photo was in 2003 with his Lifetouch image on the cover of the Professional Photographer Senior Convention Brochure  Don was publish again in 2005 on the PPA 125th Anniversary Convention Brochure Don was the first Lifetouch Photographer to receive his Masters in 2006 Don was the first Lifetouch Photographer to receive his Craftsman in 2015 MN PPA Portrait Photographer of the Year in 2011 ASP State Elite Award Affiliated Judging award in 2005 & 2001 MN PPA Master Court of Honor 2011 , 2019 American Society of Photographers President.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paula Ferazzi Swift M.Photog., Cr., CPP

Paula Ferazzi Swift is a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, Certified Professional Photographer, Author, Photography Educator and an International Award Winning photographer working in the Metrowest area of Boston specializing in the art of capturing images of children, their families and relationships that couples share in front of her cameras  You will find Paula’s professional photography studio in Sudbury, MA.

Photography has been a passion of Paula’s ever since she was a child herself, as she was the subject of many photos taken by her older sister, a photojournalist. She was given her first manual camera and introduced to the magic of photography at the young age of 13 and later went on to receive two college degrees in photography and photojournalism.  She worked as a staff photojournalist at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for 10 years.  Paula decided to take a new path in photography into the world of children and family portraiture, after having had her first son in April 2003.

Paula is an award-winning and nationally-recognized photographer for her published work in newspapers and magazines.   She has been nominated for and won several national and international awards including the recognition of her and the photography staff at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as finalists for the 1999 Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography for their coverage of the Worcester Warehouse fire that killed six Worcester, MA firefighters. Paula has won National Press Photographers Association, New England Associated Press Editors Association awards for her photojournalism work as well as local advertising awards for her photography. She is also a member of such professional organizations as the Professional Photographers of America and the Professional Photographers Association of  Massachusetts.

In 2009, Paula was the recipient of the Hallmark Award for best color portrait, Kodak Gallery Portrait Award , the highest scoring portrait print, judges choice ribbon and 3 blue merit ribbons at the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts annual print competition. In 2010,  2011, 2102 , 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Paula’s work was recognized and awarded the highest honor of Loan Collection and General Collection at the Professional Photographers of America International Photographic Competition. in 2014 Paula was recognized as a Bronze Medalist for her Children photographer at the Professional Photographers of America International Photographic Competition and received another Bronze Medal at the same competition for her Newborn photography. Paula continues to feed her education and love for photography by attending professional photography seminars and workshops. Her work

Paula who grew up in Longmeadow, MA currently lives in Framingham, Massachusetts with her husband Chris and their three sons Ryan, Trevor, and Logan … her inspirations.
