PPARI Newsletter January/February 2020

Hello! The first month of 2020 has literally flown by! What happened to January being a quiet month to regroup and plan? Have you taken some time to put down goals for 2020 and beyond? The saying “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail” has not stuck around this long because it’s a lie. Knowing the destination for your business and personal life is the best way to head out in the right direction. A couple of my 2020 goals (maybe moved up from 2019 goals…) are to save up to attend Imaging next year; to pursue my CPP; and to shut my computer down by 5pm every day. Feel free to call me out on any of these when you see me!

 

If you read the last newsletter you noticed that we’re excited to mix up the traditional three day conference footprint for 2020. The hope is that having non-consecutive dates makes it easier for everyone to reserve the days to attend. Speakers are still being lined up but we’ve chosen the un”convention”al dates. February 26th will be a program on choosing and preparing images for competition. Details for February are in this newsletter. Friday, May 15th will be Image Competition Day and a speaking program. Friday, June 5th will include a full day speaking program, Image Awards luncheon, and our annual meeting. Please mark your calendars to reserve these dates!

 

I’d also like to reiterate the invitation to contact me if you’re curious about serving on the Board. Whether you’d like to help with a particular event, or lend your talents for the year, I would love to chat with you!

 

The more hands-on-board, the more we can offer our members! Service merits may be available too.
